Yum Bunz set to open
Yum Bunz, the new quick serve Chinese concept from Mike Blum, founder of the Real Chow Baby, and Guy Wong, chef/owner of Miso Izakaya, is set to open at 935 Marietta St., where its "Dim Sum Fast" signage has been visible along an entire block for weeks. The menu will feature steamed bao (buns) filled with combos of meat and/or veggies, plus steamed or grilled dumplings, soups, salads, bowls and wraps. Brunswick’s in Marietta, Norcross
Brunswick's, a new upscale bowling, entertainment and dining concept featuring a full-service restaurant, Tavern '45, will open its first two locations this summer in Marietta and Norcross. Look for creative pub grub and local craft beer in a contemporary setting. The Marietta location will open in mid-June on Delk Road. New Atlantic Station restaurants
In addition to Chick-a-Biddy, the Bantam & Biddy spinoff from Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere set to open this summer, two other new local chef-driven restaurants are scheduled to open in Atlantic Station in the coming months. The Pig and the Pearl smokehouse and raw bar from chef Todd Richards and the Shed at Glenwood team is expected in the fall. Lime, chains and fire
Three intown neighborhood food and drink spots recently shut down under very different circumstances. Parent company Ruby Tuesday pulled the plug on Lime Fresh Mexican Grill locations in Buckhead and Midtown. Aurora Coffee closed the doors of its Virginia-Highland location last week, but not before a loyal customer chained himself to a pole outside in protest.
