Jeni’s to open Scoop Shop in Atlanta
Ohio's Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is set to open its first-ever Scoop Shop in Atlanta in late summer next to Star Provisions in the Westside Provisions District. Look for the signature Black Coffee and the rest of the super premium ice creams that Time magazine called "the best in America." The company, founded by Jeni Britton Bauer in 2002, gained a cult following with ingredients such as real fruits and vegetables, wine, whiskey, beer and liqueur. As in shops in Ohio and Nashville, all flavors will be served in cups, cones, macaroon sandwiches or pints packed in dry ice to go. www.jenis.com.
