Atwoods Pizza in Midtown
Atwoods Pizza Cafe is now open for lunch and dinner at the Biltmore on West Peachtree in Midtown, with breakfast service coming soon. The new pizzeria and coffee bar will offer dine-in, grab-and-go and delivery for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, starting at 7 a.m., with online ordering via mobile devices. Brush Sushi Izakaya in Decatur
On April 8, Brush Sushi Izakaya opened on Church Street in Decatur. It's billed as a Japanese gastro pub, and the menu features chef-driven sushi and Japanese pub fare from Jason Liang, formerly the executive chef at One Sushi + and sushi chef at Craft Izakaya. Botiwalla at Ponce City Market
Botiwalla, the new Indian street grill restaurant from two-time James Beard Award-nominated chef Meherwan Irani, and the team behind Chai Pani in Decatur, opened April 12 in the Central Food Hall at Ponce City Market. Communion at Revival in Decatur
On April 15, Atlanta chef and restaurateur Kevin Gillespie opened Communion, a German-inspired beer garden in the backyard of Revival, his popular Decatur restaurant. Along with beer, wine and cocktails, there's fun and games, such as horseshoes. A food truck features Executive Chef Andreas Muller's takes on beer garden snacks, including Bavarian-style pretzels with hot mustard, and grilled sausages with sauerkraut.
