P’cheen closing on Feb. 9
Last week, owners Alex Friedman, Keiran Neely and Mike LaSage posted the news on their P'cheen Facebook page that the 8-year-old Old Fourth Ward "international bistro and pub" would be closing on Feb. 9. The partners said they will be concentrating on their other spots, Edgewood Speakeasy, Pizzeria Vesuvius and Bone Lick BBQ, while exploring new ventures. Lovies BBQ open on Piedmont Road
Atlanta's legions of barbecue lovers have a new spot to try. Lovies BBQ recently opened on Piedmont Road, with dine-in and takeout service and a focus on "the highest quality local ingredients matched with old, traditional cooking techniques." Highland Bakery open at Emory
Highland Bakery, the popular Atlanta chain of breakfast/brunch/lunch spots and bake shops, with locations in Old Fourth Ward, Midtown, Buckhead and Georgia Tech, has opened its newest at Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Bar Meatball to open in Virginia-Highland
A new concept called Bar Meatball is set to replace Pozole at the end of February.
