Kevin Gillespie’s Revival

Right on schedule, Kevin Gillespie of "Top Chef" and Gunshow restaurant fame is opening his new Decatur dining destination, Revival, on July 23. According to a press release, the restaurant will offer "a family-style dining experience reminiscent of Gillespie's own family's traditions, and executive chef Andreas Müller reinterprets the food from Gillespie's childhood with a selection of Southern-inspired dishes." Kafenio open in College Park

Described as an "all-day Greek cafe," Kafenio opened last week in College Park, serving coffee, breakfast all day, salads, wraps, and beer and wine. Owner Johnny Gianoulidis also owns Park Grounds coffee shop in Reynoldstown, and is the former co-owner of Pallookaville in Avondale Estates. On the breakfast menu, find plates, omelets, pita and bagel sandwiches, and pastries. City Winery’s January opening

City Winery, which operates concert/dining/winery venues in New York City, Chicago, Napa and Nashville, has announced the January opening of a new Atlanta location. The Ponce City Market site is next to Dancing Goats Coffee Bar at the corner of North Avenue and Glen Iris Drive. Twain’s reopening bowling alley

The Twain's Billiards & Brewpub team Ethan Wurtzel, Uri Wurtzel and Ben Horgan has taken over Suburban Lanes bowling alley in Decatur and plans to reopen it this fall as the Comet Pub & Lanes. The redesigned bowling alley/pub will offer a food and beverage menu with craft beers, custom cocktails and chef-driven fare, such as hand-tossed pizzas, burgers and shareable plates. www.facebook.com/thecometpubandlanes.
