Wine Dive opening in Midtown
With the mantra "Fried Chicken and Champagne? Why the Hell Not?!" Max's Wine Dive is set to open on May 15 on 12th Street in Midtown, according to Atlanta Magazine. It will be the chain's first location outside Texas, with Chicago and Denver to follow in 2014. The "gourmet comfort food" concept features "a constantly curated selection of wines from around the world," served with a "rock-n-roll style." Salt Factory coming to Woodstock
After the successes of the original on Canton Street in Roswell and the second location on south Main Street in Alpharetta, Hicham Azhari and Fikret Kovac of F&H Food Trading Group are set to open a third Salt Factory Pub in Woodstock later this summer. Along with the popular pub menu, craft beer and spirits, look for oysters, outdoor dining and a bocce ball court. Industry Tavern open in Buckhead
Industry Tavern recently opened in Buckhead, taking over the Emerald Coast Coffee & Grille spot in the Terminus building on Peachtree Road. Ribalta to replace Piola in Midtown
The Midtown outpost Piola, part of the international chain of pizza and pasta places, has closed, but another Italian restaurant, New York City's Ribalta, will soon occupy the space on Peachtree Street, according to Eater Atlanta. The menu at the original Ribalta, located near Union Square in Manhattan, features Neapolitan pizza, a large selection of appetizers, small plates and salads, plus entrees such as grilled salmon. ribaltapizzarestaurant.com.
