Dolce Italian open
Dolce Italian, winner of Bravo's "Best New Restaurant" hosted by Tom Colicchio, opened for dinner service on Sept. 18, with lunch service planned in the coming weeks. This is the second concept from LDV Hospitality in the Buckhead Atlanta development, following Corso Coffee, which opened in December 2014. Dolce Italian has two more locations in Miami and Chicago serving pastas, Neapolitan-style pizzas and Italian-style entrees. Urban Cannibals Midtown
Chef Calavino Donati and Doria Roberts (Tipple + Rose Tea Parlor and Apothecary) opened Urban Cannibals Bodega + Bites on Sept. 19 in the former Las Palmeras space in Midtown. The new flagship store comes months after the closure of their East Atlanta location. For now, service includes lunch and dinner during the week and brunch and dinner on the weekends. Big Ketch Roswell
In October, Southern Proper Hospitality Group is set to open a second location of its popular Buckhead restaurant, the Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, on busy Canton Street in downtown Roswell. Chef Derek Dollar, who leads the kitchen at Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails in Crabapple, will lend his touch to the menu at the "beach chic" dining spot, which will be open for lunch and dinner. Bubbleology in Atlanta
British bubble tea brand Bubbleology is set to launch in Atlanta this fall with its U.S. flagship store opening at Lenox Square in early November and a second location at Mall of Georgia later in the month. Bubbleology's flavored fruit and milk bubble tea is made with a freshly brewed red, white or green tea base, served hot or cold. The brand will host "tea pop-ups" throughout the Atlanta area, including 10 a.m.-kickoff on Oct. 3 at the College Football tailgate for Georgia Tech vs. North Carolina at Bobby Dodd Stadium (150 Bobby Dodd Way N.W., Atlanta). bubbleologyusa.com.
