T.I.’s Scales 925 opening party
After a recent ribbon cutting and soft opening, Atlanta rapper, record producer and actor Clifford "T.I." Harris is set to host a grand opening party for his new hot spot, Scales 925, on April 14. Located at 30 Allen Plaza in downtown Atlanta, the restaurant offers a mix of "upscale Southern cuisine" and a design that "borrows from the Harlem Renaissance era." Superica breakfast service
Breakfast service is now happening at Ford Fry's Superica at Krog Street Market from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The new menu features Tex-Mex dishes such as Huevos Mexicanos, Huevos Rancheros, chilaquiles, fajitas and eggs, pecan waffles, bacon hotcakes, migas and tamales. Oddbird hatches April 15
Oddbird, a pop-up fried chicken "restaurant within a restaurant," is opening at West Egg Cafe on April 15, with ongoing hours 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays-Saturdays. On the menu: Springer Mountain chicken breasts dredged in a cornmeal and flour blend, fried in soybean oil, and served as biscuits, sandwiches or chicken and waffles. Buckhead Restaurant Week
Some 39 restaurants are set to participate in the sixth annual Buckhead Restaurant Week, which kicks off on April 18 and runs through April 26, with reservations available now. The prix-fixe menus for brunch, lunch and dinner are priced at $15, $25 and/or $35 per person, excluding alcohol, tax and gratuity.
