The Nest open in Kennesaw

The Nest, a new craft beer bar and barbecue restaurant, opened in downtown Kennesaw on Feb. 19, taking over two historic houses joined by an outdoor patio. "We love what the Porter and Brick Store do intown, and we wanted to offer something of that quality OTP," partner Brandon King told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Nature’s Garden Express at KSM

Nature's Garden Express opened a market stall and a juice bar at Krog Street Market last week. It's the first brick-and-mortar location for the Atlanta-based online grocery service, which specializes in natural and organic fruits and vegetables, free-range eggs, dairy products, breads, artisan cheeses and local specialty food products.The company launched its Nature's Garden Express cold-pressed, raw and organic juice line last year. Ramen Crush at Last Word

Ramen Crush, the popular ramen pop-up from chef Andy Tran, has taken over the kitchen and bar at Last Word in Old Fourth Ward. Service will run from 5-11 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays through the last week of March. Look for pork, chicken and vegetarian ramen bowls, as well as the likes of salads, dumplings and rice dishes. Sawicki’s in Decatur closed

Sawicki's Meat, Seafood and More on West Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur closed on Feb. 14 after more than nine years in business. The deli and bakery sold sandwiches, boxed lunches, cheese and prepared foods to go, plus local and grass-fed meats and wild caught and local seafood. "A business must make a consistent profit to continue and although we have had many good months in our nine years, too many unprofitable months have prevailed recently," owner Lynn Sawicki wrote in an emailed statement. sawickisfoods.com.
