The Cockentrice is open

The Cockentrice, the first restaurant from chef Kevin Ouzts of the boutique charcuterie the Spotted Trotter, opened for dinner at Krog Street Market on Jan. 3. Ouzts calls the concept "New American Charcuterie," offering everything from meat and cheese to beer, wine and cocktails on the menu. Made Kitchen & Cocktails

Made Kitchen & Cocktails opened on Roswell Street in Alpharetta on Dec. 17. The latest restaurant from Pure Taqueria's Chris Sedgwick features Spanish-style dishes from executive chef Tim Agee. Look for cheese and charcuterie, and a sizable tapas menu with a variety of veggies and the likes of wood-grilled oysters and octopus. More Cook Out openings

Cook Out, the Southern drive-though burger chain that gained a cult following with its bargain-priced fast food, has opened in the iconic former Zesto space on Ponce de Leon Avenue, while another location has opened on Northside Drive. The first Atlanta Cook Out location opened on Moreland Avenue in April 2014 and has been jammed with cars and customers since. Look for more Cook Out restaurant openings in Alpharetta, Athens, Gainesville and Lithonia soon. cookout.com.

Real Chow Baby closed

What Now Atlanta reports that the Westside location of the Real Chow Baby has closed and will be moving to Alpharetta. The all-you-can-eat Asian fusion concept advertises "create-your-own market fresh stir-fry bowls for just $8.99 for lunch and $12.99 for dinner."
