OK Cafe reopens after fire

Beloved Atlanta restaurant OK Cafe reopened for lunch and dinner on Monday. The iconic diner and takeaway shop near I-75 and the intersections of Northside Parkway and West Paces Ferry Road was destroyed by fire in early December. Since then, its reopening has been anticipated by neighborhood regulars and fans from near and far. OK Cafe first opened in July 1987, and it soon became an Atlanta fixture, with crowds standing in line to sample its Southern-style blue plate specials and classic breakfast and brunch dishes. 1284 W. Sean Brock’s Minero open

James Beard Award-winning chef Sean Brock opened Minero at Ponce City Market on Monday. It's Brock's first Atlanta restaurant and the second location of the casual Mexican-inspired concept with the Charleston, S.C.-based Neighborhood Dining Group (Chicago's Steaks & Seafood, Husk, and McCrady's). Jonathan Waxman’s Brezza Cucina

Chef Jonathan Waxman's Brezza Cucina opened at Ponce City Market on Oct. 9. Waxman's latest creation is described as a "delicious version of Italian cuisine meets Californian chef." The menu with Atlanta chef/partner Adam Evans (the Optimist) features "strong Italian and New American influences while incorporating exciting bold and Southern flavors." Rosebud and Family Dog closed

Ron Eyester, the chef/owner of Diner in Atlantic Station, has confirmed the closing and pending sale of his two original Morningside restaurants, Rosebud and the Family Dog. Eyester closed his third Morningside restaurant, Timone's, in July. Eyester appeared on the 12th season of "Top Chef," which was filmed around Boston and first aired in October 2014.
