Highland Bakery

Highland Bakery will open its third location in the Atlanta Financial Center in February. Cafe Istanbul

Decatur's denizen of hookahs, live belly dancing and Turkish cuisine is set to open a second location next month off Wade Green Road in Kennesaw, according to a manager. Mediterranean classics such as hummus and dolmas (grape leaf wraps) are offered, but try their version of calzone and pizza -- both containing lamb. Supermercado La Villa

Acworth's Latin grocery Supermercado La Villa has opened another location closer to the Perimeter in Smyrna. The supermarket stocks a wide variety of tortillas, Latin cheeses, meats and regular household items. Alpharetta cupcake enthusiasts are in for a treat. Jilly's Cupcakery, a family-run bakery by Jill Martinson and her parents, Jay and Janice Colfer, opens Monday near the intersection of Highway 9 and Webb Road. Flavors include red velvet, smores, and sweet potato, topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, candied pecans, and toasted marshmallow. Opened earlier this fall, this new barbecue joint offers up some serious smoked meats. The menu is mostly standard barbecue staples, with multiple varieties of sauces.
