BoccaLupo opening in Inman Park
Former La Pietra Cucina chef Bruce Logue is softly opening his new neighborhood Italian-American restaurant, BoccaLupo, in the former Sauced space in Inman Park this week. Aurora closing in Virginia-Highland
Eric Levin and Madonna Hill, the husband-and-wife owners of Aurora Coffee, announced that the Virginia-Highland location on Highland Avenue will close on May 21. An evening with Richard Blais
Chef Richard Blais, of Flip Burger Boutique, HD1 and the Spence, has been on tour promoting his new cookbook, "Try This at Home." Hugh Acheson’s new restaurants
Hugh Acheson is hoping the move to the new spot for his iconic Athens neighborhood restaurant, Five & Ten, will be complete by July. The chef, whose other gigs include the National in Athens, Empire State South in Atlanta, and judging on Bravo’s “Top Chef,” also confirmed plans for a major new Italian restaurant in Savannah, with the working title Vittoria.
Ryan Smith joining Staplehouse
Ryan Smith is joining the Staplehouse restaurant team, and leaving his executive chef position at Empire State South by year’s end. The Staplehouse project, first envisioned by Ryan and Jen Hidinger, has taken on a different dimension since Ryan Hidinger was diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder cancer last year, and will be connected to the GivingKitchen, a nonprofit that will aid restaurant workers.
