Tailgating in Black and Gold

The 5th Street Bridge in Midtown has become a popular tailgating spot before Georgia Tech home games. Here are some snapshots from the bridge and the rest of the Tech campus on various game days during 2008. If you look carefully, you may even see a large Yellow Jacket.

These Georgia Tech fans have to be loving the black and gold truck.

Brian Dobbins and Kim Adams were tailgating on the Georgia Tech campus before the recent Duke game where we shut them out 27-0. Says Brian, "We are really enjoying spending our Saturday's at the games, and especially the tailgate, it is almost like a vacation for us. We are loving Tech football this year." The bright sunshine and the Atlanta skyline provide a nice setting for this tailgate party at Georgia Tech.

The 5th Street Bridge was widened and rebuilt to be pedestrian friendly, with plenty of greenery and wide sidewalks. So it's the perfect pre-game party spot.

A very young Yellow Jacket: 5 year old Grayson Carney of Decatur, has found a comfortable spot to to enjoy the tailgating scene with his favorite Tech gear.
