Owners of the Cave tapas bar have gone coastal and opened this seafood-centric eatery a few feet from their first operation. The menu opens with mussels in wine and garlic, fried calamari and coconut shrimp. Some of the most popular dishes are scallops, crab cakes and shrimp and grits. Fried or broiled platters are loaded with tilapia, flounder, mahi mahi, grouper, shrimp, scallops, cod, oysters and salmon. shrimp kabobs Lunch features many of the same dishes, along with crab cake sandwiches and seafood quesadillas. Steven Satterfield, formerly of Watershed, is the culinary talent behind the restaurant named for the Miller Union stockyard that once stood on the site. The 1950s warehouse has been re-done with a blend of industrial and rustic accents, including built-in cabinetry and hand-crafted heartpine tables. The menu changes frequently but always focuses on seasonal, Southern ingredients. Publik Draft House

The former Bazaar on the corner of the Fox Theatre building has been reborn as this neighborhood pub -- and one that stays open late enough to entertain the theater crowds. The menu is short and simple but with enough variety to please. Lunch is paninis, big burgers, soups and salads, including the greens with goat cheese fritters that hits a home run. Entrees, all under $14, are fish and chips, Guinness short ribs, shrimp and grits, beef skewers and seared salmon.
