Serious pizza eaters have spoken, and the Best of Atlanta winner this week claimed the poll at almost 54% of votes. If you haven't had a slice at Ammazza in the Old Fourth Ward, then you've apparently been missing out on the most delicious pizza that Atlanta has to offer. While still being fairly new on the pizza scene, Ammazza has a pizza pie to offer for almost everyone. Love yours stacked high with meat? Try the Carne pizza. Like a little spice in your life? Give the Inferno a go ... if you dare. There's even tasty vegan pies that will tempt the biggest carnivores. And this spring, there'll be two places to get your fix when a Decatur location opens.

The second runner up is Varuni Napoli, which will transport you straight to the Italian motherland with each bite. Try the Winter Caprese with creamy Burrata, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, pecorino romano and Black truffle oil. If you want your pizza with some summertime flare,  try the Bastardo with fresh buffalo mozzarella, mixed pepperoni, Nduja (spicy spreadable pork sausage in ragu sauce), Pecorino Romano and basil.

Always wish that you had an Italian grandmother? The next best thing is the Grandma Pie at O4w PizzaYou can even make it at home with this recipe.

If you love meatballs and all things Italian, then enjoy the Olympiad at Cameli's, created with house-made meatballs and tomato sauce covered with pesto ricotta and parmesan.

Luigi's A Slice of Italy is a favorite pizza joint for those OTP for a good reason. The go-tos include the Hawaiian made with Luigi's sauce, mozzarella, ham and pineapple, as well as the Luigi's Speciale smothered in Luigi's sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, mushrooms and onions.

Get the full Italian experience at Antico. The highlight of your meal will be the pizza, of course. Try the Pomodorini with fresh cherry vesuvian tomato, bufala, garlic and basil.

Marietta Pizza Company is one of the few top pizza joints that serve it up by the slice. They also have some great American interpretations like their Chicken Alfredo pie or the savory BBQ Chicken pie.

Varasano's Pizzeria is one of the few places in the US to make their dough the old fashioned way using only natural sourdough yeasts, which is then fermented for several days. Give their Wild Mushroom Truffle pizza a spin, with mushrooms sautéed in Madiera wine & herbs with taleggio cheese & truffle oil.
