Copperfield performs sleight-of-hand magic with a deadly black African scorpion. He later showed the audience how to predict winning lottery numbers and made 13 audience members vanish and reappear.

Copperfield likes a big-budget, showy but hokey, with lots of wind machines for that billowy shirt effect. He magically changed his name from David Seth Kotkin for the same showy effect.

For his first trick of the night at the Cobb Energy Center Thursday evening, Magician David Copperfield made his entrance by appearing on a motorcycle that "magically" appeared inside a previously empty white linen box. This was the second night of three at the center for Copperfield's "An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion."

Copperfield greets the crowd, and then he loosened up his hands for his next trick....
