In just two years New Jersey singer Charlie Puth has racked up a series of hits that have helped him to cultivate a dedicated fan base. From Puth’s seductive collaboration with Meghan Trainor (“Marvin Gaye”) to his contribution to the somber ode to actor Paul Walker (“See You Again”) and his more recent single, a reflective duet with Selena Gomez about a couple who has gone their separate ways, the singer has provided a hit for every emotional state.

Rae Sremmurd knows how to start a party and that’s exactly what they’re scheduled to do at The Tabernacle on Oct. 2. The Mississippi duo will be joined by rapper Lil Yachty, but the highlight of the show will definitely be if Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane makes a surprise appearance to perform “Black Beatles,” his new collaboration with the brothers.

Lianne La Havas
British singer Lianne La Havas will bring her moody R&B offerings to Atlanta for a show at the Buckhead Theatre on Oct. 6. Havas released her last album, “Blood,” in 2015.

Taking Back Sunday
It doesn’t feel like it’s been a decade since rock band Taking Back Sunday released their breakout album “Louder Now,” featuring the infectious hit single “MakeDamnSure,” but it has. The band will revisit their older hits, as well as perform songs from their recently released album “Tidal Wave” at The Loft at Center Stage on Oct. 7.

Howie Day
The worlds of Howie Day and his Atlanta fans will collide when the singer appears at City Winery Atlanta on Oct. 8. Day hasn’t released an album since 2015’s “Lanterns,” so expect the set list to be full of old fan favorites.

This is probably the closest you’ll come to attending a concert that allows you to wallow in your feelings if you haven’t already purchased tickets for Adele’s concert later this month. OVO artists Majid Jordan are perhaps best known for their contribution to Drake’s hit single “Hold On We’re Going Home,” but they’ve released an EP and their self-titled debut album since then.

Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller recently released his fourth studio album, featuring “My Favorite Part,” a collaboration with his new girlfriend Ariana Grande. The rapper may not get much press in mainstream media outside of his new relationship, but he’s gained quite a following amongst rap fans.
