George Clooney and fiancée Amal Alamuddin are reportedly gonna get hitched this very weekend in Venice. Fitting, since the couple met in Italy.

The two got engaged in April, after dating for just months. Hey, when you know, you know, right?

USA Today seemed playfully peeved they still weren't invited to the wedding, but DID chime in that Matt Damon is supposed to be there ... and even compiled an entire "alleged-people-who-will-be-at-the-wedding-of-the-century-move-over-Brad-and-Angie" list.

The list includes A-listers like Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock and that aforementioned famous couple.

And, but of course, even Italian media outlets are getting on board with the speculation. One reports Clooney asked his friend Walter Veltroni to marry them.

Oh yeah, by friend we mean he's just the former mayor of Rome and the former national secretary of Italy's Democratic party. No big deal ...

And to add to the seemingly royal pomp and circumstance, the Italian outlet also says the nupitals will be at a palace. This one, actually: The Ca' Farsetti.

Of course, we won't know what's true and what's just media speculation until the actual wedding.

But it's still fun to dream and run with the rumor mill, right?

But no matter what, Clooney thinks he's the winner in all this. In July, he told Variety, "I'm marrying up." ,
