When Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) let Izzie (Katherine Heigl) walk down the aisle in her place last season, Mer and Derek (Dempsey) got married via a Post-it note.
It may not be a legally binding marriage, but it has had the effect of steaming up their relationship. And following George's funeral, when everyone is struggling and turning to any distraction they can find, Meredith and Derek seem to be consummating their marriage anywhere and everywhere.
