Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte is getting married.
The 32-year-old swimmer posted a picture on Instagram of him and his fiancee kissing atop a mountain in California after the proposal on Sunday.
"Memories forever!!! #thelochtes #LA," Lochte wrote.
Lochte's future wife, Kayla Rae Reid, also posted a photo of the moment.
"Speechless. Absolutely beautiful. So in love with you," Reid, 25, wrote.
According to ABC News, Lochte and Reid have been dating since January. They met at Bootsy Bellows, a nightclub in Hollywood, California, where the two crossed paths in the VIP section, USA Today reported. Lochte said he messaged Reid on Instagram after the two briefly met at the club.
"My family says, 'Don't you think it's a little too soon?' I'm like, 'Can you put a time on love? Can you?'" Lochte told USA Today. "When I realized this was 'the one' was when she stuck behind me through (the Rio scandal)."
Lochte, who said that he had an active Tinder account and no girlfriend in August, revealed that the pair had moved in together in September.
"From the very first time I met her, everything has like clicked,'' he said. "That's why I know I can propose to her because everything that's happened and she's been keeping me so positive. She doesn't care about my fame. She doesn't care about anything. All she cares about is me being happy."
In the wake of Lochte's Rio controversy, Reid, who served as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in July 2015, said that she "will always support him no matter what."
