One of the Georgia Renaissance Festival's Kissing Wenches is getting a wardrobe makeover courtesy of TLC's "What Not to Wear."

Ariel Stewart, 26, of Norcross — who goes by "Ruby Two-lypps" as she roams the festival grounds planting kisses — was surprised today by the show's hosts and told her outfits will be critiqued in front of the nation.

Her mom and roommate nominated Stewart for the makeover, and the show secretly shot footage of Stewart when she was out socially around Atlanta.

"All of her clothes are a little dated and a little tight," said her roommate, Jenn Steele. "Mostly she has a tendency to bring her costume pieces into her daily wardrobe. It's a little eccentric and it doesn't quite look right."

Stewart, an administrative assistant, sings in a band and has been a Kissing Wench at the festival for several years.

She'll be flown to New York next month and given $5,000 for her makeover. The show will throw a party for her in Atlanta on May 30.

Family and friends tricked Stewart today, telling her she was needed at Medieval Times for a promotional appearance. When she arrived, the show's hosts were waiting.

"She was like a deer in headlights — it was pretty funny," said Sarah Petermann, marketing director for the festival. "She watches the show so she recognized the hosts. She was like, 'Oh my gosh!'"

"What Not to Wear" airs at 9 p.m. Fridays. Stewart's segment will be shown in July.
