Music legend Prince has died at age 57 in Minnesota. His publicist confirmed the news to his hometown newspaper.

Last Friday morning, Prince was briefly hospitalized in Moline, Ill., after his private jet made an emergency landing there as he was returning home from his two performances at the Fox Theatre exactly a week ago.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member won seven Grammy Awards and sold more than 100 million records.
