This year's list of nominees for Webby awards celebrating Internet achievement range from celebrities such as Beyonce and Ellen DeGeneres to Google and GoPro, the maker of popular mountable video cameras.
The organizations with the most nominations are Vice Media with 11, The New York Times with 10 and Google Inc. with nine. Among the online videos nominated is "24 Hours of Happy," a 24-hour music video starring Pharrell Williams.
The winners of the 18th annual awards will be announced on April 29. The Webbys are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a group of about 1,000 Internet experts and professionals. Webby categories are split into a regular award, chosen by the academy, and a “people’s voice” award, which lets members of the public vote.
This year’s awards received more than 12,000 entries from over 60 countries. Of these, 8 percent were selected as nominees.

Conan O'Brien is looking to get a jump on all the Dave, Jimmy and Jimmy talk by announcing his own late-night move next summer. He's going to become the first late-night host to broadcast his show from San Diego's Comic-Con International.
“Conan” will be in San Diego in 2015, doing the TBS show from the Spreckels Theatre from July 8-12.
With Comic-Con such a major destination for Hollywood talent these days, especially the kind starring in big summer tent-pole movies, the guest lineup for O’Brien’s shows that week should be impressive.
Taking their shows on the road is big with the late-night hosts these days. Jimmy Kimmel recently hosted a week of shows from Austin, Texas, to coincide with the SXSW music conference. And O’Brien last week hosted a run of shows in Dallas.
O’Brien has long showed a penchant for genre entertainment, hosting a “The Walking Dead”-themed “Conan” episode featuring five of the zombie hit’s cast members and doing a regular video game feature called “Clueless Gamer.”
