Tim Hudson is having a good year as starting pitcher for the Braves, but enough about him. We're here to talk about Kim Hudson. The pitcher's wife invites all the women out to Turner Field on Friday for Girls' Night Out. The event features a pre-game party and fashion show with mini makeovers and hair touch-ups. During the 7:35 p.m. game against the Dodgers you'll sit in the lower outfield pavilion with a signature T-shirt and white feather boa to sport. "We moms and ladies really need a night out. We work hard whether it's in the home or in the community," she said, adding that her event comes with one iron-clad rule: "No boys allowed!" Tickets to Girls' Night Out are $32 and a portion of proceeds benefit the Hudson Family Foundation, a faith-based organization that works with children. "I'm very thankful they chose us to be the beneficiary," Kim Hudson said. During our interview Friday, with a couple of games scotched by Hurricane Irene, she was unsure if Huddy would be pitching during her party. She's hoping not; otherwise she'll have to concentrate more closely on the game. "I have more of a vested interest in the game when my husband's on the mound," she explained. If he's in the dugout, on the other hand, "I'll have more fun!" For information, see www.braves.com/gno.
