The Atlanta Press Club booked Janet Napolitano, secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, some time ago for its Saturday luncheon. What timing. We expect a full house at the event, planned for 11:30 a.m. at the Commerce Club, 191 Peachtree St. The cost is $30 per ticket or $300 for a table of 10 for Press Club members; $40 per ticket or $400 for a table for nonmembers. We checked with the Atlanta Press Club on Monday to ensure the event is still on. They have not been told otherwise by the secretary's staff, so as far as they know it's on as planned. If we hear otherwise we will post and print an update. For now, we're guessing this will be a seriously well-attended event. Call 404-577-7377 or see www.atlantapressclub.org for details and reservations.
