Given its place in screen history, as the site of the "Gone With the Wind" premiere party back in 1939, it's only natural that the Georgian Terrace is becoming something of a star itself. For the second time in a few months, the historic hotel has served as a filming site. First, Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman's buddy flick "The Change-Up" set up shop in one of the ballroom for a country-club scene last fall. On Friday, the ballroom was back in action. This time the new CBS pilot "Hail Mary," starring Minnie Driver was shooting there. Afterward, the production stuck around for dinner, reserving every seat in Livingston, the hotel's restaurant. Speaking of Livingston, belated birthday wishes to Chef Zeb Stevenson. Monday was his big day.

Eat mor cake
We told you about the big black-tie bash held recently at the Woodruff Arts Center to celebrate Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy's 90th birthday. Now we've gotten our hands on the photo of the special cake he enjoyed at a smaller, more private gathering on March 14, his actual birthday. Well, maybe "smaller" isn't the right word. Highland Bakery pastry artisans Joshua John and Heidi Peterson teamed up to build a 300-pound confection to serve 800 people at a party at company headquarters. "It was an honor to be asked to make his birthday cake," John said. "He's an icon in the South." The cake, which was comprised of 30 sheet cakes and had to be delivered in sections and assembled on site, looked like a giant Chick-fil-A sandwich, pickles and all. "And no," John assured us. "It didn't taste like chicken!" By the way, you can watch him and Highland Bakery's Karen Portaleo in action on the Food Network show "Last Cake Standing," which kicks off at 10 p.m. April 3.
