Il Localino was closed for the Labor Day holiday weekend, but if you've driven by the Inman Park restaurant during the last couple of days you've probably noticed quite a bit of activity. And if you live nearby, you may have experienced challenges in finding a place to park. But your driving and parking woes should not last long. "What to Expect When You're Expecting," the movie starring  Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Chace Crawford, Chris Rock, Anna Kendrick and Matthew Morrison, filmed right next to the Italian dining spot on Tuesday and was scheduled to be back in action today. The movie's assistant location manager, Walter W. Thompson, alerted area residents in a letter, spelling out which streets would be affected. Trucks associated with the project were to be parked temporarily on portions of N. Highland, Colquitt and Albion avenues (Complete details are posted online at blogs.ajc.com/the-buzz). The letter, sent on behalf of Lionsgate and WTE Productions, stressed that the movie folks are "very sensitive to the impact that filming can have on a neighborhood," and offered to work with anyone affected by the disruption. "The vast majority of equipment, trucks and personal vehicles will be parked nearby on private property to avoid unnecessary congestion," it read. Il Localino's answering machine message said the restaurant would reopen for dinner at 5 p.m. today. Wonder if we'll get some star sighting reports?

Overscene

The aforementioned Cameron Diaz has sampled a smattering of Atlanta's restaurants since she's been here, most recently stopping by Ecco at the end of August. The Midtown restaurant has hosted Hollywood in the past; the Jason Bateman-Ryan Reynolds buddy flick released this summer shot some scenes there last year, and the wrap party for "Wanderlust" starring Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston was held there last year as well.

Concert to aid AIDS Walk Atlanta

The Ben Deignan Band will play at Tavern 99 on Sept 14. Doors open at 7 p.m. The restaurant, at 128 E. Andrews Drive, will donate 10 percent of food and beverage sales to AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. See www.tavern99.com for information. The AIDS Walk event is planned for Oct. 16 at Piedmont Park and benefits organizations that serve people affected by HIV and AIDS. Last year's event raised $920,000.
