Kanye West is launching a clothing line, DW by Kanye West, in honor of his late mom, Donda West. Singer/producer Pharrell has launched his Billionaire Girls Club fashion line. T.I. has his Akoo fashion line. Lil Wayne has his skateboard-inspired Trukfit fashion line.

Why not socks? Outkast's Big Boi hopes to fill those shoes. The rapper, whose real name is Antwan Patton, recently told GQ.com that he is teaming up with retailer Crooks & Castles to introduce a line of socks.

Big Boi calls himself "the sock king." At a recent Nike World Basketball Festival, he appeared dressed in all black with green and pink socks with yellow capes attached to them.

"They've got a cape on the back - that's how I flew here," he told GQ.com, which caught up with him after the festival.

"I got my own socks line coming out with Crooks & Castles," he revealed in the interview. "Head over to 677 Antone Street, Atlanta Georgia, 30318 and get some!"

The business at that address is Outkast's Stankonia Studios. Efforts to reach the recording studio were unsuccessful Saturday.

Fashion has meant big business for some music artists savvy enough to come up with winning products, including Diddy with his Sean Jean line; Roca Wear, a line co-founded by Jay-Z, who still has a sizable stake in the brand; and Def Jam founder Russell Simmons' Phat Farm clothing line.
