After 72 years on the radio and TV, "Guiding Light," the longest running daytime drama, comes to an end.

The series got its start in radio in 1937, but moved to television 57 years ago on Sept. 19, 1952. Before the series moves into TV history when the final episode airs on Sept. 18, "60 Minutes" celebrates its history this coming Sunday. Newsman Morley Safer talks to the cast and crew of "Guiding Light," some of whom have worked on the soap for decades, as they celebrate the life and now accept the breakup of what has for them been a family.

"I'm 54 years old. I will never have a job like this again, ever in my life," says Emmy-winning actress Kim Zimmer, who played Reva Shayne Lewis Lewis Spaulding Lewis Winslow Cooper Lewis Lewis O'Neill -- a character who married nine times on the show. "Nothing this steady and this stable and this wonderful."
