After keeping her lips sealed for the last couple weeks, Ellen DeGeneres announces on her show that she will be the fourth judge on "American Idol" -- and she reveals what that exciting news means for the fate of her popular talk show!
Since being extended the offer to fill the seat left vacant by Paula Abdul, "I've been dying to tell everyone," Ellen says on her show scheduled to air Thursday.
Ellen says she's a devout "Idol" fan, confessing, "I have not missed one episode of that show." She adds that she hopes to represent the "people's point of view."
