The champion drag queen from a reality television show was busted on a marijuana charge this week in Gwinnett County.

James William Ross IV, also known as Tyra Sanchez, was arrested Tuesday night when the car he was a passenger in was stopped on I-85 for having illegal window tinting, according to a police report obtained by the AJC. The Gwinnett police officer who stopped the car said he smelled raw marijuana and searched the vehicle.

Ross, 23, of Atlanta, was charged with marijuana possession and booked into the Gwinnett County jail. He posted bond and was released the following afternoon, jail records show.

The driver of the 2005 Chevrolet Impala, Christopher Demaurius Smith, was also arrested and charged with marijuana possession and a windshield violation, the police report states. Smith, 22, posted bond and was released from jail Wednesday night.

Ross is best known as the winner of the second season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and recently released a music single.
