After multiple reports surfaced that supermodel Cindy Crawford is retiring, the supermodel wanted to set the record straight.
While she won't be modeling very much, she's not necessarily retiring.
Crawford cleared up confusion with a statement on her Instagram page.
"Every year, I tell my kids I'm retiring," she said. "It's a running joke in our family. And yet every year, opportunities pop up that really excite me."
In fact, the United Hemispheres Magazine article that many outlets sited as the source of Crawford's retirement announcement doesn't contain the word "retire."
But in the interview, Crawford did express that the publication of her new book, "Becoming Cindy Crawford" does mark a way for her to "move on" from modeling.
"I've worked with all these incredible photographers," she told the magazine. "What else do I need to do? I can't keep reinventing myself. I shouldn't have to keep proving myself. I don't want to."
But she doesn't want to completely rule modeling out forever.
"While it's true that I'm eager to shift my focus a bit to concentrate on my businesses, friends and family, I'm not making any final statements," she said in her Instagram post.
"Not all headlines tell the whole story," she said. "I have loved being part of the fashion industry for the past 30 years, and if that time has taught me anything, it's this: never say never. Thanks for all the support, I'm so excited for what 2016 holds."
