Grammy award winner Ne-Yo has purchased a second home within a year in metro Atlanta, according to Fulton County property records.

In May, the R&B singer-songwriter bought a $550,000 home in Milton overlooking a golf course, a purchase first reported by TMZ. The 5,900-square-foot brick home at the end of a cul-de-sac sits on a little more than an acre and has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. There's also a private guest suite, media room and exercise room.

Last July, Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr., bought a $1.5 million home in Alpharetta, according to county records. The 13,000-square-foot stone exterior home has seven bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms and comes with elevator and wine cellar.

It wasn't immediately known whether Ne-Yo was downsizing or planning to keep the larger abode.

Ne-Yo has had multiple Grammy nominations, and he's won three - in 2008 and 2009 -- for his hit single "Miss Independent" and album "Because of You." He was last nominated in 2010 for "Knock You Down," a collaboration with Keri Hilson and Kanye West. He's also won multiple Soul Train, MTV Video, MOBO and BET awards.

Last month, Ne-Yo was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City, along with Bette Midler and Bob Seger.
