Final results of the autopsy performed on the late Bobbi Kristina Brown are complete but are being kept secret. The report was sealed by court order.
“The Fulton County Medical Examiner has classified the cause and manner of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death based on information as of (Friday). However, a Fulton County Superior Court Order dated (Friday) has been received, sealing the autopsy report and ordering the medical examiner to not release any further information to the public,” the Medical Examiner’s office said in a statement updated Saturday. “The Fulton County District Attorney and Roswell Police Department have been informed of the Medical Examiner’s findings. No further information will be available from the Medical Examiner at this time.”
The only child of singer Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston died July 26 at age 22, months after being hospitalized Jan. 31 after a medical emergency. An initial autopsy report found no obvious cause of death.
Brown’s court-appointed conservator filed suit against her companion, Nick Gordon, while she was still in hospice care, and amended the suit after the aspiring singer died. The civil suit includes allegations of physical violence and financial impropriety.
Gordon’s legal team lashed out vociferously and has sought a dismissal on numerous grounds, namely that the suit contains a slew of allegations but no police reports, named witnesses, affidavits or other backing evidence.
“The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless,” his representatives said in a statement. “Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.”
Brown was buried next to her mother after memorial services here and in New Jersey.
