Beyoncé and Jay Z made sure to make a statement for Halloween this year.

But they didn't necessarily think out of the box when designing their costumes.

Instead, they thought in the box -- kind of.

The power couple dressed up as Ken and Barbie and posed inside imitation packaging for the dolls.

Beyoncé wore a striped black and white bodysuit and black and white cat eye sunglasses and donned a high ponytail and red lipstick.

Jay Z wore a black tuxedo with a silver bowtie, a silver cummerbund and a black bouffant wig.

The couple's 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, posed in a photo with her back to the camera. A leather jacket with "Barbie" written in the signature pink script matched her parents' theme.

Beyoncé, Blue Ivy and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, also dressed up Sunday for a family member's '80s and '90s-themed birthday party. They wore outfits inspired by the hip hop trio Salt-N-Pepa.
