Angie Stone teams up with ADA for "Victory over Diabetes"

Aug 3, 2010Singer and songwriter Angie Stone will talk about her experience with type 2 diabetes during the American Diabetes Association's "Victory over Diabetes" event.
The event is part of the Fearless African Americans Connected and Empowered (FACE) Diabetes campaign. FACE is a grassroots campaign to help African Americans who are living with diabetes. The campaign encourages healthy eating and exercise.
Also appearing are Hebni Nutrition Consultants' Roniece Weaver and Fabiola D. Gaines, who are know for their makeovers of traditional comfort and soul foods into healthier dishes.
The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Concourse in College Park.
