Aimee Copeland, the Snellville woman who survived a rare flesh-decaying infection, will be a guest on Katie Couric's new talk show 'Katie.'

The show launches Sept. 10 (3 p.m. on WSB), and will be Couric's first venture into talk TV.

Her interview with Copeland, the 24-year-old University of West Georgia graduate psychology student, will air on Sept. 11.

Copeland contracted the rare necrotizing fasciitis infection in May after falling off a homemade zip line and gashing her leg. Earlier on, doctors gave her a slim chance of survival. Both hands, her left leg and right foot were amputated.

Last week Copeland returned home after three months in a hospital and a rehabilitation clinic. She will discuss her story of survival. With the help of her prosthetics, Copeland will walk onto the stage, the show announced Tuesday.
