Who says Mondays have to be a drag?

Start the work week off with some fun today by eating free (or discounted) food or visiting a new exhibit on Martin Luther King Jr. and former President Jimmy Carter

Here are our four suggestions for things to do in Atlanta today:

1. FEATURED

Members of the King and Carter families will unveils a new exhibit today at the D.R.E.A.M. Gallery of the National Park Service Visitor Center. "Georgia's Global Peacemakers: The Carter and King Legacy" will be on display for one year. Attend the free opening at 11 a.m.

The D.R.E.A.M. Gallery is located at 450 Auburn Ave., Atlanta.

2. FREE

Filing taxes can be a drag, but there are a few restaurants that want to make sure you still have a great day without spending any extra cash.

From Hard Rock Café Atlanta to Cinnabon, here are some tasty treats that you can enjoy for free today.

Note: Hard Rock Café's deal involves singing for your meal. Read more about that and the other deals here.

3. FOOD

These meals aren’t free, but they are being offered at discount prices.

Enjoy prix-fixe meals at Buckhead restaurants such as Bistro Niko and Eclipse de Luna for $15, $25 or $35 today and throughout the week as a part of Buckhead's Restaurant Week.

4. FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta is celebrating its birthday with a week-long celebration that begins every day at 1 p.m. Festivities will include free birthday cake at 2 p.m. and discounted items each day.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $19.95. If you’re planning to go later this week, buy your ticket online for $14.95.
