This year the Atlanta Veterans Park at the Atlanta History Center will be celebrating our newest great generation of combat veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. The honor comes from the elder veterans who had the vision and the foresight to not just succeed in life, but to pave the way for the success of our current combat veterans. This years keynote speaker will be Iraq Combat Veteran, Rev. Dr. Waymon Duane Williams, Leadership Fellow and Membership Representative in Georgia, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Inc.. The Veterans Park is a beautiful addition to the History Center grounds, this interactive park is a tribute to the military men and women who have served our Nation. A wonderful place to contemplate the sacrifices that have been made to secure our Freedoms and the ideal location for veterans programs in metropolitan Atlanta. Any donations will be used equally to support IAVA's premier advocacy training program, Storm the Hill, and the Atlanta History Center Veterans Park.
