Atkins Parks Oysterfest

Just in time to gorge yourself before the Lenten season, the fourth annual Mardi Gras Oysterfest rolls into the Atkins Park tavern in Smyrna. From opening until closing, the restaurant and bar will be in full swing with a lineup of live music performed with a New Orleans-style flair and oysters served raw, grilled, fried, steamed or on a classic po’boy. Those who plan to get a little carried away Saturday can recover with a “cure all” New Orleans brunch Sunday. Guests can plan ahead by purchasing one- or two-day tickets. The entire festival takes place inside, so it’s rain or shine.

11a.m. to closing Feb. 14-15. $10 for one day; $15 for both. Atkins Park Smyrna, 2840 Atlanta Road, Smyrna. 770-435-1887, atkinsparkoysterfest.com.
