Whether you’re hoping to indulge in a local festival dressed as a piece of bacon (see above), or seeking to screen new films and learn more about the film industry, you have some great options this weekend:

Atlanta Film Festival
The 41st annual Atlanta Film Festival kicks off this Friday with a screening of Bill Watterson’s “Dave Made a Maze” at Plaza Theatre. Watterson is expected to attend the screening. Tickets to the opening screening are $50.
Other screenings this weekend includes Dreamworks' "The Boss Baby," featuring an infant voiced by Alec Baldwin, on March 25 at the Plaza Theatre and "Uncode," a short docuseries about the experiences of black artists and storytellers, on March 26 at 7 Stages Theatre. The "Uncode" screening is a part of the free "Unscripted Pilots" event.
Individual screenings throughout the festival are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Children under 12 will be admitted for free to "The Boss Baby" screening with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Atlanta International Auto Show
The 35th annual Atlanta International Auto Show will return to the Georgia World Congress Center this Wednesday, giving attendees an opportunity to see more than 500 new and pre-production vehicles through Sunday.

Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival
The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival will invite attendees to explore an Arts & Crafts Market, witness an adorable Pet Parade, dine on food truck fair and listen to live music at Blackburn Park.

Exploration Expo
The Atlanta Science Festival will end with a bang this weekend. Literally. The event’s annual Exploration Expo will once again take over Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday. More than 1,000 hands-on activities, chemistry demos, explosions and more will keep families entertained throughout the day.
A Ping Pong Big Bang exhibit will feature hundreds of ping pong balls exploding simultaneously at the Fountain of Rings at noon.

Baconfest
Beer and pork are the highlights of Dad’s Garage Theatre’s annual BaconFest, but the games are pretty interesting, too.
Participate in a Flip Cup Tournament, among other adult-themed games at this event, which raises money for the non-profit theater.
