If you wondering where to park when heading to the new skating rink in historic Marietta, you are in luck.

There is plenty parking close by, and much of it is cheap or even free.

Adjacent to the square is the Building A public parking deck (you enter on Waddell Street and exit on either Cherokee or Waddell). $5 flat free weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free on weekends and after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Another good option is the Lawrence Street parking deck close to the square also $5 flat free weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free on weekends and after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

The ice skating rink opens Friday and will remain open until Jan. 4.

The Skate Rink hours are as follows: 4:30 p.m - 10 p.m Monday through Thursday; 4:30 p.m. - 11 p.m Friday; 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. Saturday; and noon-10 p.m. Sundays.

(There will be extended hours during school breaks and open Thanksgiving and Christmas.)

Entrance is $12 and covers the skate rental. There is free parking available on the parking decks (on the courthouse side of the square) after 5 p.m. and on weekends.
