Mechanical men, androids, humanoids, and bionic machines will abound on Robots Day, Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
The day is inspired by the National Geographic IMAX movie, “Robots,” which is currently showing at Fernbank’s IMAX theater.
Events will be co-hosted by Imagine That!, Future Tech, Brainy Bytes and Robotic Explorers. Happening on Saturday: live demonstrations of Lego robots and some creations of the G3 Robotics Team from Grady High School, including a Frisbee-throwing machine and the G3 Drone For Good.
The Georgia Tech Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines will also be on hand, with Avatar and Mini-Darwin. Hello-Robo will introduce a 3-D printable robot named Maki.
Robots Day: Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Value Pass tickets, $8-26, include all Robots Day activities. Tickets to the film and to the activities can also be purchased separately. Fernbank Museum is located at 767 Clifton Road NE in Atlanta.
