Atlanta hard-rockers Mastodon will release “Once More ’Round the Sun” Tuesday, and the night before they’ll hold a hometown listening party at the Jim Cherry Memorial Planetarium at Fernbank Science Center.

Fans who pre-order the new album at Criminal Records in Little Five Points will receive a pass to attend the Monday event, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. All attendees also will receive an autographed copy of the new album from the Grammy-nominated band.

"Once More 'Round the Sun," which was recorded in Nashville with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains), also will be released as a limited-edition double LP on 180-gram black vinyl with a quadruple gatefold vinyl jacket featuring artwork by American artist Skinner. The LP special comes with a CD of the new release.

This is the sixth full-length album for Mastodon. The band is touring Europe most of the summer, but returns to the U.S. in September for dates in Chicago and Raleigh.
