Talk about Gordon Parks exhibit on Dec. 1

On the centennial anniversary of the birth of famed photographer Gordon Parks, the Arnika Dawkins Gallery, in collaboration with Jackson Fine Art, is hosting a show of Parks’ cardinal “The Segregation Portfolio.” The exhibit highlights Parks’ 1956 series for Life magazine, a series that depicted everyday experiences of segregation in the Deep South. Gallery talk by the executive director of the Gordon Parks Foundation, Peter W. Kunhardt Jr., begins at the Dawkins Gallery at 11 a.m. Dec. 1. 4600 Cascade Road, Atlanta. www.adawkinsgallery.com.
