Comedian and TV host Jeff Foxworthy reads his new book 'Dirt on My Shirt' to elementary school students in Alpharetta, Ga., as part of the Georgia Read More program. The book is the first children's book for Foxworthy, who rose to popularity with his 'You Might Be a Redneck If ... ' series.

The Georgia Read More program features dignitaries and celebrities reading some of their favorite books to students as a way of encouraging a love of reading.

'Dirt on My Shirt' is Jeff Foxworthy's first children's book. The Georgia comedian gained success as an author when he turned his redneck chic comedy routine into a series of 'You Might Be a Redneck If ... ' books.

Past readers in the Georgia Read More program have included former President Jimmy Carter, Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox, First Lady Mary Perdue, Braves pitcher John Smoltz, NASCAR driver Bill Elliot and country singer Travis Tritt.

'Dirt on My Shirt' is the 26th book written by Jeff Foxworthy, who lives in Alpharetta with his wife, Gregg, and two daughters.

Jeff Foxworthy, host of the game show "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?" on Fox, has several projects going. He and his wife talk about their travel to Kenya, and building a safe-house for girls.
