N ew members into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame Saturday in Atlanta.

Altovise Davis, wife of singer Sammy Davis Jr., places a foot on her husbands footprint during the induction of new members into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame Saturday in Atlanta. The induction ceremony was held at Ebenezer Baptist Church with an unveiling of the footsteps at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site on Auburn Avenue.

Xernona Clayon (center) , creator of the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame, checks out the site Saturday. She is also president and CEO of the Trumpet Awards Foundation, which presents its awards this weekend.

These are the footprints of poet Maya Angelou.

Georgia Rep. Tyrone Brooks Sr. stands on his foot prints. The Walk of Fame is a permanent outdoor exhibit of shoe prints belonging to those who have made a difference in the fight for racial equality.

Atlanta developer Herman J. Russell hugs Altovise Davis, wife of entertainer Sammy Davis Jr., Russell and and Sammy Davis Jr., who died in 1990, now have foot prints on the Walk of Fame.
