If you missed the Many Rivers to Cross Festival a few weeks ago, there's another opportunity to blend music and discussions on social issues.
Popular festival Afropunk will bring musicians and activists to Atlanta for a three-day festival.
If you’re not interested in that, there’s plenty of other things to do around metro Atlanta.
Amy Schumer will make history by becoming the first female solo stand-up act to headline a popular Atlanta venue and Little Five Points will host their annual Halloween parade and festival.
Here are five things to do this weekend:
Afropunk’s “The Carnival of Consciousness: Atlanta” festival will bring musicians and social activists to the city for a three-day festival.
Tyler the Creator, SZA, Earl Sweatshirt, Big Freedia, Kelela, and Atlanta artists St. Beauty and Rahbi are among the lineup of performers for the festival.
Councilman Kwanza Hall, Awesomely Luvvie and others will discuss social issues related to the black community during a series called the Solution Sessions.
Afropunk was cancelled last year due to bad weather.
