Jason Moattar wanted to add playfulness and personality to his condo's dining space. To do so, he positioned bright red chairs from Design Within Reach and a recovered banquette in gray fabric around a farm table found at Four Hands.

Opposite the dining table is a photography and acrylic mixed-media piece by Luis Garcia-Nerey, a Miami artist. Garcia-Nerey is one of several artists featured throughout Jason Moattar's home. Tying the dining room together is a yellow tribal rug with blue accents from Moattar Ltd., at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC).

A gallery wall of art is assembled by Jason Moattar, a member of SCAD's Atlanta Advisory Board, over a chaise sectional sofa from Room & Board in the living room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Blue velvet covers the two swivel chairs, purchased through R. Hughes at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center, and brings out the blue tones in the yellow, gray and blue rug.

Original art in the 1,650-square-foot condo includes a large photograph depicting a scene at the Louvre by Evan Jang, a SCAD graduate, over the Room & Board sectional sofa.

A vintage Eames chair from Decades Antiques and Vintage is among the mid-century modern furnishings in the Buckhead condo. It's next to a favorite piece of furniture - the Jiun Ho console table from R. Hughes.

Brass balls are from Bungalow are placed near a stack of design-focused books in the Buckhead condo.

In the galley-style kitchen, homeowner Jason Moattar has refaced and painted the cabinets, added stainless steel appliances and changed the floor to marble.

Jason Moattar describes the vibe in the Plaza Towers home he shares with Nate Lycan as "mid-century modern with a tribal flair." In the bathroom, Barbara Barry sinks are flanked by mid-century sconces and surrounded by walls of mirrors.

Homeowner Jason Moattar recently renovated his guest bathroom, gutting it and replacing the bathtub/shower combo with a glass shower made of sleek, charcoal tiles from Renaissance Tile & Bath. An aerial photograph of colorful umbrellas on a beach by Christian Chaize (reflected in the mirror) provides a pop of color.

A balcony off the dining area offers natural views from the Plaza Towers condo complex on Peachtree Street in Buckhead. The table and chairs are from Logan Gardens at Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC).

Even plants and accessories have architectural elements, on a square wood coffee table from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams.

The graphic black and gray Shock Wave fabric by Schumacher at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center adds dimension to a bench at the foot of the bed in Jason Moattar's master bedroom.

A dark blue table and chairs sit at the end of Jason Moattar's galley-style kitchen, offset by a rug from Moattar Ltd.. Above the table hangs a photograph featured in the book "Tilting the Lens: Telling the Story of Sham Shui Po," which features the work of SCAD students and professors.

In the guest bedroom and throughout Jason Moattar's home, grays are dominant, but here he adds pops of color with artwork and accessories.

Jason Moattar (left) bought the two-bedroom, two-bath condo in Plaza Towers, an iconic Buckhead high-rise, in 2000, and lives there with Nate Lycan. Moattar is president of Moattar Ltd., an Atlanta rug company with a showroom at ADAC (Atlanta Decorative Arts Center), and Lycan is a physician assistant at Piedmont Hospital.

A stunning sculpted entryway features stone Buddhas attached to a stacked stone wall. The brass and glass table is from Smith Grubbs at Atlanta Decorative Arts Center.
